The Small Business Council (SBC) of the Greater Memphis Chamber was created for Members, by Members. Currently in its 12th year, the SBC is undergoing a transformation in the Fall of 2017, and we invite you to join us.
Want to join the SBC? No problem! If you are a current member in good standing with the Greater Memphis Chamber, you’re in. Please contact Tunga Lee at email@example.com to officially join.
Over 80% of Chamber members are classified as a “small business” with 100 employees or less. Help guide the direction of the new SBC and get involved in one of the four new committees:
Public Affairs Committee
This committee will work with members of our Public Policy team and Government Affairs Council. It will meet every month from January-June, and quarterly for the remainder of the year. This schedule aligns with when the legislative session is happening on State level and City and County budget process is happening on the local level.
Working closely with our Director of Events, this committee will work on all of the SBC-related events and help to develop new programming.
Advice on Tap Committee
One of the chamber’s best most underutilized benefits, Advice on Tap offers free 30-minute sessions with field experts in areas including marketing, HR, legal, and technology. This committee will meet to determine promotion and use of the benefit, as well as opportunities to showcase our advisors.
Buy/Support Local Campaign Committee
This committee will work in conjunction with members of our Chairman’s Circle and the Memphis Branding Initiative, an innovative campaign encouraging Memphis businesses to coordinate with each other for mutual success.
Committees will begin to meet in August 2017. If interested, please contact Amy Daniels at firstname.lastname@example.org.
